The Franklin & Marshall men's basketball team (10-15, 7-11 CC last season) kicks off the 2022-23 season with a road game at Elizabethtown (8-16 last year) Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. The Diplomats will then host the William Marshall Tip-Off Tournament, where they will face Cairn (16-11 in 2021-22) on Friday at 8:30 p.m. Alvernia (18-8 last year) will play Hampden-Sydney (14-11 last season) on Saturday. Start time for Saturday's game is still TBA.

Guard

Franklin & Marshall presents a young core of guards that gained a lot of experience during the 2021-23 season. Omar Nichols made appearances in 24 games, with 23 starts and ranked fifth in the conference in three-pointers made, shooting 38.5 percent (55-of-143) from beyond the arc. John Seidman started all 25 games last year for the Diplomats. Seidman ranked fourth in the Centennial Conference in assists (92), fifth in offensive rebounds (49), sixth in minutes per game (31.2), ninth in total rebounds (139), ninth in field goals made (116-for-240), and 10th in field goal percentage (.483) during his rookie season. Jaylen Green made 16 appearances off the bench last season, averaging 9.2 minutes and 3.1 points per game.

Forward

Being one of just two players to appear in all 25 games with 23 starts, Josh Parra ranked third in the Centennial Conference in offensive rebounds (53), fourth in field goal percentage (.516), seventh in total rebounds (148), and eighth in both rebounds per game (5.9) and blocked shots (28) last year. Riiny Giir appeared in 24 games with 14 starts, where he averaged eight points per game while shooting .493 from the field. His .493 field goal percentage ranked him seventh in the conference last season. Mark Suchy played in 19 games with eight starts last year. Suchy averaged 19.8 minutes, 5.2 points, and 5.1 rebounds per game.
