Nicholas Grissinger (Palmyra, Pa./Milton Hershey), and junior
Ken Barnes (Edison, N.J./Westminster School [Conn.]) posted one victory apiece, leading the Gettysburg College men's track and field team to a second-place showing among 16 teams at the Mason-Dixon Invitational, held Saturday at a sunny, but windy, Musselman Stadium.
Competing in their second home meet of the year, the Bullets finished with 168 points to place behind only Frostburg State University, which won the meet with 194 points.
Senior
Alex Petrecca (Fairfield, Conn./Fairfield Warde) captured his first mile victory of the outdoor season after crossing the finish line in 4:26.86. Junior

Dylan McKeever (Furlong, Pa./Central Bucks East) placed right behind in second (4:31.44) and third (4:36.70), respectively, on their way to setting to new personal record (PR) times.

Nicholas Grissinger (Palmyra, Pa./Milton Hershey) registered his third victory of the outdoor season in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 56.07.
Senior
Mike Miller (Malvern, Pa./Great Valley) blazed his way to place second in the 5,000-meter run, clocking a time of 16:17.48 out of 16 runners.
In the 3,000-meter steeplechase, freshman
Cole Wirth (Wallingford, PA./Strath Haven) and sophomore
Peter McQuade (Long Beach, N.Y./Long Beach) collected fourth and fifth-place, respectively. Freshman
Charles Norelli (Allentown, Pa./Emmaus) claimed fourth in his first career 10,000-meter run with a time of 38:11.56.
Classmates Petrecca and
Matt Robinson (Taneytown, Md./Pinkerton Academy [N.H.]) placed fourth (1:58.22) and fifth (2:01.21), respectively in the 800-meter run out of 24 competitors.

Thad Cwiklinski (Glen Rock, Pa./York Catholic), and Grissinger finished runner-up in the 4x400-meter relay, clocking a time of 3:27.35.

Barnes led the field with a top showing in the long jump, leaping 21-0 ½.
Freshman
Fredrick Tubula (Narok, Kenya/Friends Select School) placed runner-up in the triple jump with a mark of 42-0.
Freshman
Corey Palazzolo (Colts Neck, N.J./Christian Brothers Academy) tallied third in the high jump with a mark of 5-11 ½, while classmate Weller took fifth (5-7 ¾). Palazzolo also posted fifth in the long jump (19-6 ¾).
In the pole vault, Grissinger logged in a third-place showing (11-9) and freshman
Thaddeus Karaman (Sherburne, N.Y./Sherburne-Earlville) finished right behind in fourth (11-9, new PR). Other Bullets athletes who also recorded top showings include freshman
Matthew Brown (Doylestown, Pa./Central Bucks East), who tallied fourth in the javelin (151-3), and Grissinger, who placed fifth in the same event (138-8, new PR).
Several Bullets will compete at the Penn Relays on Thursday before the rest of the team will gear up for the Centennial Conference Championships at Shippensburg's Paul Kaiser Invitational next Saturday.
