Sam Sheldon (Tully, N.Y./Tully) placed first out of 82 runners, leading the Gettysburg College men's cross country team under the lights at the Shippensburg University Galen Piper Invitational Friday night. This was Sheldon's first victory at the invite.

The Finish Line
- Sheldon buzzed through the 6,000-meter course in 19:20.2, finishing nine seconds ahead of the second place finisher.
- McKeever was the next Bullet to cross the finish line, placing seventh in 19:42.6.
- Freshman Connor Elliott (Media, Pa./Salesianum) was the No. 3 runner for Gettysburg, taking 22nd with a time of 20:40.3.
- Rounding out the team score were freshman Joseph Potz (Crestline, Calif./Rim of the World), who came in 24th in 20:40.8, and sophomore Charles Norelli (Allentown, Pa./Emmaus), who was 39th in 21:17.8.
- Finishing as displacers were sophomore Jack Kenyon (Centerport, N.Y./Harborfields) (40th, 21:28.5) and senior Aren Heitmann (Fairfield, Conn./Fairfield Ludlowe) (43rd, 21:40.4).
