Gettysburg had two individuals in the top five overall and placed second at the McDaniel Fall Invitational with a round of 357. The Bullets' B-team placed fifth in the six-team field with a round of 401.
THE LEADERS
•
Ava Nicole Markunas (Lewisburg, Pa./Lewisburg Area) led the Bullets with a fourth-place showing, firing a round of 83 in her first collegiate round.
•
Caroline Kurtt (Denver, Colo./Clovis [Calif.]) was fifth overall with a round of 84.
FOR THE FOES
• Franklin & Marshall won the team title with a score of 344.
• Stevenson's Casey Oppenheimer claimed the individual crown, firing a round of 75 on The Bridges course.
THE REST OF THE STORY
•
Abby McMonagle (Troutdale, Ore./Central Catholic) was 13th overall with a round of 93.
•
Natalie Boyd (Pittsburg, Pa./Mt. Lebanon) and
Sophia Chesner (Moorestown, N.J./Moorestown) rounded out the A team squad with rounds of 97 (T-17th) and 103 (21st), respectively.
•
Ella Zimmerman (St. Louis, Mo./Clayton) paced the B-team with a 15th-place finish, posting a collegiate-low round of 95.
•
Monica Solis (Clemmons, N.C./West Forsyth) was 16th with a round of 96.
•
Anne Harrower (Glenside, Pa./Springside Chestnut Hill Academy) matched Boyd in 17th place overall with a score of 97.
•
Audrey Coughlin (Philadelphia, Pa./Merion Mercy Academy) rounded out the Gettysburg competitors in 25th place with a score of 112.
THE INSIDE STORY
• The four first-year golfers on the roster were all part of the A-team, making their collegiate debuts.
