ABBOTTSTOWN, Pa. – Senior
Gillian Marini (Moorestown, N.J./Moorestown) led the Gettysburg College women's golf team for the second consecutive outing in a tri-match with Catholic University and Goucher College at the Hanover Country Club Friday afternoon.
After leading the Bullets with a seventh-place showing at the McDaniel College Invitational last weekend, Marini carded an 89 to finish third among 15 competitors on Friday. Goucher's Christina Pevey led the way with an 84, while Catholic's Mary Colella finished second with an 88.
Freshman
Camera D'Amica (Milford, N.J./Delaware Valley) shaved two strokes off her collegiate debut with a 92 to place fourth overall, while senior
Virginia Martin (Pearland, Texas/Dawson) shot an even 100 to finish 10th.
Senior
Keira Cooney (Glenmoore, Pa./Bishop Shanahan) and sophomore
Lindsay Waller (Perry, Mich./Perry) rounded out the lineup with 106 and 128, respectively.
Gettysburg continues its fall campaign with a tri-match hosted by McDaniel on Sunday, Sept. 16, at the South Hills Golf Club in Hanover, Pa., beginning at 12:30 p.m.
