HUNTINGDON, Pa.- The Juniata field hockey team had a quick turnaround from yesterday, as they lost to visiting Haverford, 5-1, Saturday afternoon at Knox Stadium.
Both sides were quiet until Haverford opened up the game with the first goal in the second quarter. Haverford pushed their advantage to 3-0 before Juniata had a chance score. In the last seven minutes of the third quarter, Hanne Scheel (Furlong, Pa./ Central Bucks West High School) drove up the field to fire a pass in toward the goal. Freshman Sierra Rossman (New Market, Md./ Linganore High School) contained Scheel's pass and shot it to secure her first career goal.
