Two multi-event winners for the Bullets led the way to a close victory over Mary Washington.
THE LEADERS
•
Nick Cox (Purcellville, Va./Ponte Verda) touched first in the 100 backstroke, clocking in at 52.79. He also led a one-two-three finish in the 200 backstroke, placing first with a 1:56.26. Cox rounded out his meet with first place in the 200 IM (1:58.43).
•
Charlie Cross (Charlottesville, Va./Albemarle) took first place in the 200 freestyle, with a time of 1:46.56. Cross also took first place in the 200 breaststroke, at 2:10.16. He finished out his meet with a second, behind teammate Cox, in the 200 IM (1:58.51).
FOR THE FOES
• Will Burkey won the 50 and 100 freestyle, with times of 21.66 and 47.49.
THE REST OF THE STORY

Max McAlister (Powell, Ohio/Olentangy) touched first in the 100 butterfly, clocking in at 52.63.
•
Harry Nelson (Gettysburg, Pa./Gettysburg Area) placed first in the 1000 freestyle, at 10:20.92.

Luke McKenna (Collegeville, Pa./Spring-Ford) led the one-two-three finish in the 500 freestyle, with a 4:51.00. In second was
Charter Sasseville (North Yarmouth, Maine/Greely), with a 4:56.90. Nelson rounded out the top three, finishing in 4:57.80.
THE INSIDE STORY
• The 200 Medley Relay A-Team of Cox,
Declan Sheeran (McLean, Va./McLean),
Max McAlister (Powell, Ohio/Olentangy), and
Hunter Sundlun (Richmond, Va./St. Christophers School) placed second, clocking in at 1:36.86.
•
Joe Curry (Phillpsburg, N.J./Phillpsburg) took third in the 1000 freestyle, finishing at 10:28.92.
•
Cort Hobelmann (Nashville, Tenn./Owensboro Catholic) was second behind teammate Cox in the 100 backstroke, with a time of 53.42.
• Sheeran and
Trey Mitchell (Rehoboth Beach, Del./Sussex Academy) notched an incredibly close two-three in the 100 breaststroke, respectively, with times of 1:00.79, and 1:00.80.
• McKenna placed second in the 200 butterfly, with a time of 1:58.59.
• Hobelmann and
Jack Murphy (Potamac, Md./Winston Churchill) rounded out the top three in the 200 backstroke, finishing second (1:57.84) and third (1:58.47), respectively.
• Sheeran took third place in the 200 breaststroke (2:13.95).
• The 200 Freestyle Relay A-Team, of Hobelmann, Sundlun, McAlister, and
Conor Vienneau (Newburg, Md./LaPlata) was second, clocking in at 1:28.66.
