WESTMINSTER, MD – The Johns Hopkins wrestling team went 2-1 at McDaniel's Dr. Sam Case Duals on Sunday afternoon.  The Blue Jays dropped a tight 24-23 decision to traditional power Wilkes, edged 18^th-ranked Lycoming, 22-21, and eased past Pitt-Bradford, 49-6, in their three duals on the day.
 
The Blue Jays had five individuals power a perfect 3-0 record on the day.  The headliner for Johns Hopkins was senior Grant Walnoha (184), whose perfect day included three wins by fall.  Two of his three pins came in the first period, including a crucial 123-second fall of James Ellis of Lycoming that set the stage for the Blue Jays' upset victory.
 
Joining Walnoha with perfect days were graduate students Jared Osborne (157) and Joe Paul (174), senior Brent Lorin (133) and freshman Jake Hoffmann (157).  Combined, the four earned seven wins by decision, three pins, one major decision and one win by forfeit.
 
Not including wins by forfeit, the Blue Jays earned 11 bonus-point wins on the day with seven pins, two tech. falls and two major decision.
