Meet Highlights
- Yancey anchored the 200 medley relay team to a victory, swimming 20.99 on his free split as the team touched the wall in 1:39.96. He out-dueled classmate Danny Petrillo (Bridgewater, N.J./Bridgewater-Raritan) in his two individual races, posting 21.46 in the 50 free and 2:15.51 in the 200 breast.
- Nonemaker sprinted past Jose Pac in the final 50 yards to take the 200 IM. The sophomore closed the gap in the butterfly leg and then swam nearly two seconds faster in the free to post a time of 1:56.95. That mark moved Nonemaker into eighth on the program's top 10 list. Nonemaker topped teammate Aeden Collins (Westfield, N.J./Westfield) and Pac to claim the top spot in the 100 free at 47.01.
- Edelson began his meet with a strong showing in the 200 free by winning in 1:48.90. He gradually pulled away in the 200 fly for a six-second victory at 1:59.09 and turned in the best 50-yard split (21.75) in helping the 200 free relay to a winning time of 1:29.46.
- Cox managed to hold off senior Jeff Ragatz (Brookfield, Conn./Brookfield) for a 1.29 second victory in the 200 back. Cox has won at least one event in each of his three duals, including the 200 back twice.
- Junior Duncan Proxmire (McLean, Va./Langley) competed in a non-scoring, mixed heat of the 1,650. The junior maintained a consistent pace and settled in around the 30-second mark for his splits before closing the race in 16:30.38.
