ALLENTOWN, Pa. - For the second time in three days the Dickinson men's golf team left the course claiming victory as the Red and White shot a combined 299 to knock off the 12-team field at the Muhlenberg College Invitational at Lehigh Country Club on Monday.
Collin McMahon-Shea had a strong afternoon with a 72 on the 6,415-yard par 70 course. Two strokes behind him was
Will Giguere firing a 74.
Carl Williams and
Peter Lown earned Top-10 finishes with a 76 and 77 respectively.
Will Carkhuff completed the Devils roster, but had a tough day finishing at 85.
Dickinson thought they might have had their second consecutive individual winner with McMahon-Shea tying with Vinny Dasaro from FDU-Florham and Moravian's Jake Haberstumpf. In order to break the deadlock the Back 9 scores for the three competitors were put up against each other with Haberstumpf carding a 35, while the other two men posted 36 and 37.
In the team standings Dickinson was victorious with their 299, holding off Alvernia University at 304. The rest of the results were as followed: Moravian (309), Arcadia (317), Swarthmore (325), Albright (330), FDU-Florham (332), Jefferson (338), Muhlenberg (339), DeSales (348), New Jersey City (356), and Ursinus (362).Â
