Men's Distance Highlights Evening at The Armory

NEW YORK - The Swarthmore College men's track & field team returned to action at the TCNJ Indoor Invitational on Saturday at The Armory.

Aidan Cantine headlined the evening for the Garnet with a third place showing in the 800m run. The senior set a new indoor personal record in the event. Ethan Rothenberg also had an excellent performance in the 500m dash as he grabbed fourth overall.



HOW IT HAPPENED
- Cantine took third overall out of 43 competitors in the 800m run. The senior ran a 1:55.99 to set an indoor personal best and the team's top 800m mark of the season. Jay van Adrichem Boogaer also competed in the event with a 2:07.66 finish, while Ben Rosin crossed the finish line at 2:09.79. 

- Rothenberg placed fourth in the 500m dash with a time of 1:08.36, while Kendall Praitis-Hill finished at 1:09.73 to take eighth. 

- Colin DeLaney placed 16th of 44 competitors in the 3000m run with a 8:49.09 mark. The sophomore set a personal record in the event as he trimmed nearly 10 seconds off his previous best. Sam Brody also saw a massive personal record as he recorded a time of 8:57.44 to finish 22nd. Brody took over 23 seconds off his previous best. 

- Rosin placed 30th of 54 runners in the mile with a 4:36.88 finish. The effort marked a new personal best for the sophomore.
