The Muhlenberg men's tennis team won at the top four singles spot to come from behind and defeat Gettysburg, 5-4, for its first Centennial Conference win of the season.
In addition to overcoming a 2-1 deficit after doubles, the Mules kept their composure and focus through some tight matches in the face of a large and vocal Senior Day crowd at Gettysburg.
Junior
Noah Sellinger won convincingly at No. 1 singles to tie the match up, and junior
Jason Grant pulled out a 6-4, 6-3 win at No. 3 to give Muhlenberg the lead.
The Bullets tied the score at 3-3 by taking No. 5 singles, but freshman
Daniel Kantor (pictured above) won a third-set tiebreaker after dropping the second set at No. 4.
Moments later, junior
Alex Dagilis held serve in his third set to win at No. 2 and clinch the match.Â
After a few near-misses in their recent matches, the No. 1 doubles team of Sellinger and Grant finished off their match after getting a lead, eventually prevailing by an 8-3 score.
