th-ranked Johns Hopkins men's tennis team picked up a pair of wins on Saturday over 34
th-ranked RPI and Muhlenberg.

How it Happened • RPI
• Hopkins took two of the three doubles matches to take the early lead in the match. Sophomore
Vishnu Joshi and junior
Vik Vasan put the Blue Jays up 1-0 with an 8-2 win over Brian Niguidula and Eddie Wu at third doubles. Seniors
Colin Muraika and
Scott Thygesen then beat Zach Ebenfeld and Dylan Payne, 8-0, at second. Sebastian Castillo-Sanchez and Andrew Imrie prevented the doubles' sweep when they edged juniors
Joe Cartledge and
Austin Gu, 8-6, at first.
• Gu pushed Hopkins' lead to 3-1 with the first singles' point of the match. He beat Clay Thompson 6-1, 6-2 at second. Junior
Aaron Carey followed with a 6-1, 6-3 win over Victor Stoyanov at sixth. Joshi then clinched the win for the Blue Jays with a 6-3, 7-6 victory at first over Castillo-Sanchez.
• Sophomore
Eric Yoo put JHU up 6-1 when he defeated Payne 6-4, 6-3 at fifth. Thygesen then rallied to defeat Niguidula 2-6, 6-1, 7-5 at third. Yudai Teruyama spoiled the Blue Jays' bid for a sweep of singles with a 7-5, 6-7, 1-0 (2) win at fourth over junior
Cody Kim.

How it Happened • Muhlenberg
• The Blue Jays jumped out to a 3-0 lead with a sweep of the doubles matches. Freshman
Eric Burrer and sophomore
Alex Matisse needed only nine games to defeat Noah Sellinger and Jason Grant at first. Freshman
Brian Wang and sophomore
Jack Hogan were 8-3 winners over Alex Dagilis and Steven Shoemaker at second. Sophomores
Matt Lurie and
Robby Simon lost just two games at third as they beat Adam Kronick and Gavin Meyers.
• Hopkins then swept the singles matches, without dropping a set, to complete the shutout. Lurie grabbed a 7-6 (3), 6-1 win at first over Sellinger. Wang beat Dagilis 6-0, 6-3 at second and Burrer won 6-0, 6-4 over Grant at third.
• Hogan defeated Daniel Kantor 6-3, 6-3 at fourth. Simon and Matisse lost just one game each, in the first set, in their wins at fifth and sixth, respectively.

What it Means
• This morning's match was the first-ever meeting between Hopkins and RPI.
• The Blue Jays improve to 21-1 all-time against the Mules and run their series win streak to 15. Â
