CHESTERTOWN, Md. -- Swarthmore College Men's Soccer was in a scoreless tie at Washington College on Wednesday night until allowing four goals in the final 17 minutes of the game.
Junior
Zach Viscusi led the Garnet (8-6-1, 3-3-1) with four of their 14 shot attempts in the game. The Shoremen (5-6-1, 2-3-2) took 18 shots.
Washington scored its goals during the 74th, 75th, 77th and 89th minutes of the game.
Swarthmore took seven corner kicks in the game in comparison to Washington's four.
Currently in sixth place in the Centennial Conference, the Garnet will try to keep their playoff hopes alive at fifth-place Gettysburg College on Saturday at 4 p.m. The top five teams in the conference advance to the postseason. Swarthmore plays second-place Haverford in the last of its two regular season games remaining.
