BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian University men's soccer team saw its four-match winning streak come to an end as the Greyhounds fell to rival Muhlenberg College, 2-0, in non-conference action under the lights on John Makuvek Field Wednesday evening.
How It Happened
- The squads played a scoreless first half with both teams having opportunities on the goal that needed diving saves
- The Mules took a 1-0 lead in the 60th minute on a header shot after a foul on Moravian gave Muhlenberg what amounted to a short corner kick just outside the right side of the 18-yard box
- Muhlenberg picked up another header goal in the 78th minute to double the edge to 2-0
Inside the numbers
- Junior goalie Christian Beebe recorded five saves in his return to action after an injury
- Muhlenberg held a 16-5 advantage in shots while Moravian had a 4-1 edge in corner kicks
