A school record in the long jump highlighted the Muhlenberg Indoor Invitational for the Mule track and field teams.
Junior
John Panny hit the sand at 22-10½ to win the long jump and break the school record of 22-4¼ he set in December. His mark is seventh on the all-time Centennial Conference performance list. Panny also won the triple jump with a personal best of 44-1½, moving up from fifth to fourth on the Muhlenberg all-time performance list.Â
Panny's two first-place finishes were among eight for the Mules in the five-team meet. Junior
Noah Halterman-Mitchell (pictured above left) also placed first twice, winning the 800 meters and anchoring the 4x800 relay team that crossed the line first. Muhlenberg also won the 4x400 relay, coming from behind thanks to a strong leg by junior
Kyle Tassone, who also came in second in the 800.
Senior
Ben Arehart won the high jump with an indoor personal best of 6-6.
Junior
Russell Neuwirth had a strong meet, leading off the winning 4x400 team and placing second in the 400 and third in the 55. Sophomore
JJ Ramirez-Rojas came in fourth in the 55 and long jumped 21 feet even, entering the Mules' all-time performance list in 10th place.Â
Freshman
Erin Jackson contributed to both first-place finishes for the women's team, capturing the 800 meters and running on the 4x400 relay team. Junior
Adrienne Ellison, who came in second in the 400, brought the Muhlenberg team from behind on the third leg of the relay, and sophomore
Caiti Kinnear anchored the winning foursome shortly after placing second in the 1000 meters. Sophomore
Kayla Morisi also ran on the 4x400 team.
Sophomore
Erica Borbi (pictured above right) led a 2-3-4 Mule finish in the shot put along with senior
Corrin Ferrizzi and sophomore
Emily Marr.
