CENTER VALLEY, Pa.—Swarthmore College Men's Cross Country captured 18th place overall on Saturday at the NCAA Mideast Regional Championship.
Swarthmore recorded a score of 536 and had two runners break into the top 100 in scoring.
Vaughn Parts scored 49 points for Swarthmore (55th overall) and
Kevin Hudson posted 74 points (95th overall).
Parts led Swarthmore with a time of 27:29 and Hudson registered a time of 28:09.
Freshman Ethan Rotherberg stepped up for the Garnet, taking their third score with a time of 28:28 and finished 116th overall.
Junior
Evan Baker clocked in at 28:41 to pick up Swarthmore's fourth score at 131.
William Colgan, the only senior to compete for Swarthmore at regionals, wrapped up his collegiate cross country career by getting Swarthmore's fifth score on a time of 28:48.
Freshman
Jonah Ring ran sixth for Swarthmore and finished in 29:00.
As a team, the Garnet recorded an average time of 28:19 on the 8K course.
Swarthmore concludes the 2018 season on a positive note, improving two places in the region compared to 2017.
