Hopkins Projected First in Baseball Preseason Poll

LANCASTER, Pa. – Johns Hopkins has unanimously been selected as the 2021 Centennial Conference preseason favorite by the league's 10 head coaches. The Blue Jays collected all possible seven first-place votes and 49 points to earn the top spot in the preseason rankings. 

Franklin & Marshall earned the remaining first-place vote and tallied 49 points to place second in the voting, with Washington College close behind in third with 36 points. 

Just two points separated fourth through sixth, with Dickinson (25), Muhlenberg (24) and Ursinus (23) distanced by the narrowest of margins. Gettysburg (18) and McDaniel (10) rounded out the poll in seventh and eighth place, respectively. 

The 2021 campaign will feature a round robin regular season schedule to determine the conference champion, with all teams facing each other in a doubleheader. The 14-game slate begins on Saturday, March 20 and is scheduled to be completed on Saturday, May 1.
