The Centennial Conference baseball tournament will return to Swarthmore for the second time in conference history after the Garnet earned a split with Franklin & Marshall on Saturday to lock up the top seed in the postseason. The Garnet (21-17, 14-4 CC) and Diplomats (23-14, 14-4 CC) finished with identical conference records, but the Garnet earned the top seed via a tiebreaker.
Swarthmore will host fourth-seeded Johns Hopkins (20-17, 10-8 CC) in Thursday's first round, while F&M will host third-seeded Washington College (24-15, 10-8 CC) in Thursday's other first round matchup. The Blue Jays clinched a playoff spot with a sweep over Haverford on Saturday, while the Shoremen locked up their first playoff appearance since 2012 with a split vs. Dickinson. Both of Thursday's opening round games are set for a first pitch of 3 p.m.
Following the first round, the double elimination tournament will shift to Swarthmore on Saturday and Sunday.
