Earlier in the week, Mutz earned a selection to the ABCA All-Region First-team and was named the Position Player of the Year for Region 5. The Strath Haven graduate was the first player in Swarthmore history to earn ABCA/Rawlings Regional Player of the Year honors. He was also the first player in program history to be named Centennial Conference Player of the Year.

Mutz put together a historic campaign as he guided the Garnet to the NCAA Regionals. The third baseman led the conference in hitting this season with a .428 batting average, while swiping a conference-best 27 bases on 28 attempts. He also ranked second in the conference in runs scored and triples, while finishing third in on-base percentage during the regular season.
