Baseball

Christian Schwarz, Jr., OF, Muhlenberg
Nyack, N.Y. | Nyack
Schwarz hit .625 (5-for-8) with a 1.250 slugging percentage, 6 RBIs and three runs scored in two games to help the Mules win the Gallaudet Bison Classic. Of his five hits, four went for extra bases. Schwarz drove in four runs in a 13-3 win vs. Cazenovia, and went 4-for-5, tying a school record with three doubles, in a 10-4 win vs. Gallaudet.

Baseball
Pitcher of the Week
Joe Morrissey, Fr., RHP, Washington College
Moorestown, N.J. | Moorestown
Morissey picked up his first career victory with seven shutout innings in a 5-0 win over Stevenson on Saturday in Fredericksburg, Va. He scattered three hits, walking one and striking out five Mustangs en route to the victory. Morrissey retired 17 straight hitters and had five 1-2-3 innings on the day. He was the first freshman pitcher at WC to toss seven shutout innings in a single game in 16 years.

Men's Lacrosse
Offensive Player of the Week
Sean Mowatt-Larssen, Sr., A, Haverford
Houston, Texas | Strake Jesuit College Preparatory
Mowatt-Larssen totaled eight goals and three assists in a 2-0 week for the Fords that included victories over 18th-ranked Stevens and Mary Washington. In Wednesday's 11-9 triumph over the nationally-ranked Ducks, Mowatt-Larssen scored all four of his goals in the second quarter and added one assist to give Haverford a cushion it would not relinquish. In a 15-14 win over Mary Washington on Saturday, he tallied four goals and two assists to help the Fords to the comeback win.

Men's Lacrosse
Defensive Player of the Week
Teddy Carlin, So., FO, Haverford
New York, N.Y. | Groton School
Carlin had a major impact as the Fords took down 18th-ranked Stevens and followed that up with a victory over Mary Washington for a perfect 2-0 week at home. Against Stevens, Carlin grabbed 11 faceoff wins and scooped four ground balls as Haverford took down a ranked opponent for the first time since April of 2019. On Saturday, Carlin then made his presence felt on the final scoreline in a comeback win over Mary Washington, keeping his team in the contest with a program-record 25 face-off wins. Carlin's impressive total eclipses the 24 wins from Sebastian Mankowski in 2004 and was just the second time a Haverford player had gone above 20 wins in a single contest. Carlin also scooped nine ground balls to put an exclamation mark on an outstanding day at the X.

Women's Lacrosse
Offensive Player of the Week
Madeline Dill, Sr., M, Muhlenberg
Glen Rock, N.J.| Glen Rock
Dill registered a career-high five goals along with an assist and made several huge plays in the final minute of the Mules' season-opening 18-17 win against Moravian. After Muhlenberg tied the score at 17 with less than a minute to play, Dill controlled the ensuing draw. The Mules made an errant pass on their possession, but Dill scooped up the loose ball near the cage and was fouled, earning a free-position attempt. She converted with 32 seconds left for the game-winning goal. Dill also controlled the next draw, allowing Muhlenberg to run out the clock and preserve the win. Dill also contributed four draw controls and a ground ball in the victory.

Women's Lacrosse
Defensive Player of the Week
Caroline Sullivan, So., M, Gettysburg
Fairfield, Conn. | Fairfield Ludlowe
Sullivan worked her magic on both sides of the field as Gettysburg took down two nationally-ranked programs last week. In a 17-7 win over No. 8 Messiah, the sophomore midfielder totaled two goals, one assist, two ground balls, and a caused turnover. Sullivan tied the mark for most caused turnovers over the last 11 years with a career-high five against No. 12 Denison, adding a career-high five ground balls, one goal, and one assist in the 14-7 decision.

Men's Tennis
Player of the Week
Adam Chow, So., Haverford
Hong Kong | Canadian International School of Hong Kong
Chow secured the match-clinching point in Haverford's 5-4 win over Stevens on Saturday. With the match deadlocked at 4-4, Chow and Stevens' Matt Luzzi were left on the court at No. 5 singles to decide the outcome. Luzzi gave Stevens some momentum with a 6-4 victory in the first set, but Chow rallied back for the Fords, firing off consecutive 6-3 wins to clinch the match, 4-6, 6-3, 6-3, setting off a raucous celebration as his teammates mobbed him on the court.

Women's Tennis
Player of the Week
Erica Stutz, So., Swarthmore
Scottsdale, Ariz. | Xavier College Prep
Stutz helped the Garnet to a 2-0 start to the spring as they swept Immaculata and knocked off New York University, 7-2. Stutz went 3-0 individually, including a 6-0, 6-0 victory at No. 5 singles against NYU. In the same match, Stutz paired up with Nathalie Williams to win at No. 2 doubles, 8-4. Against Immaculata, Stutz and Williams paired up to win No. 1 doubles, 8-0.
