Swarthmore's O'Dell Named Academic All-District

Senior chemistry major Zac O'Dell earned one of five spots on the CoSIDA Academic All-District 4 team for men's basketball on Thursday. The team represents the best all-around student-athletes from NCAA Division III schools in Pennsylvania.

O'Dell, who has had two scientific papers published in conjunction with professor Dr. Kathryn Riley, is No. 1 Swarthmore Men's Basketball's leading scorer and rebounder. Shooting 55.6 percent from the field, O'Dell is averaging 11.4 points per game and gathering 8.6 rebounds per game. He also averages 2.3 assists and 1.8 blocks, both second on the team.

Joining O'Dell on the team were Tone Cockrell of Keystone College, Colin McNeil of Carnegie Mellon University, Dylan O'Hara of Westminster College and Jared Wagner of York College.
