Swarthmore Men's Golf Honored for Top GPA in Division III

NORMAN, Okla.—Swarthmore College Golf was recognized for having the top GPA in Division III in the 2019-20 school year by the Golf Coaches Association of America. The Garnet maintained a team GPA of 3.82 and was designated Academic National Champions.

Additionally, the Garnet were recipients of the Presidents Special Recognition Honors for being one of the 15 Division III schools with a team GPA of 3.5 or greater. Swarthmore is the only team from the Centennial Conference to earn this distinction.

Swarthmore has earned the Presidents Special Recognition for the fourth consecutive year. The team also was named Academic National Champions in 2018.

The Garnet averaged a team score of 313.73 (+27.55 vs. par) through 11 rounds in 2019-20. Junior Michael Brown's 76.18 (+4.64) led the Garnet during the season.
