Led by an even-par 71 from Quinn Greene, defending champion Gettysburg jumped out to a three-shot lead on day one of the 2021 Centennial Conference men's golf championship at Hershey Country Club's East Course on Saturday.
The Bullets totaled 311 strokes in round one, narrowly edging out Franklin & Marshall (314) atop the team leaderboard. Dickinson (325) and McDaniel (326) are separated by just one stroke in third and fourth place, respectively, while Muhlenberg (346) and Ursinus (350) round out the day one team scores.
Greene's 71 leads the field by four strokes. The senior played +1 on the front nine and -1 on the back, with three birdies, three bogeys and 12 pars. Greene leads F&M's Jas Fuhrer (75) by four strokes entering Sunday's final round. Muhlenberg's Joel Hark (77) and Dickinson's Peter Lown (77) and Drew Stern (77) are in a three-way tie for third.
