WHEELING, W.Va. – Franklin & Marshall junior Jared Berlin is sitting in a tie for 26th place after Thursday's third round of the NCAA Championship. Berlin fired a round of 78 (+7) on the Speidel Jones Course this afternoon and will enter the final round of the championship 10 strokes off of a three-way tie for the lead. He is currently just five shots off of a top-10 individual finish at the national championship event. Berlin is one of nine players tied at +12 for the tournament.

Berlin got his round Thursday back to even-par on the eighth hole when he made an eagle on the par-5 eighth and finished the front-nine at 2-over. That eagle was one of just eight that have been recorded this week. It also helped Berlin move to 4-under on the par-5 holes. That par-5 score is tied for second-best in the field, just two shots off the pace of the scoring leader on those holes.

On the back nine, Berlin birdied No. 13 for the second straight day playing on this course. He wrapped up his round at 5-over on the back-nine. Berlin ranks just outside of the top 10 in birdies this week as the 13th hole marked his ninth birdie of the tournament. The Diplomats' junior is currently ranked fourth in total scoring among players that made the cut as individuals.

The 2021 NCAA Division III Men's Golf Championship will wrap up on Friday with the fourth and final round of the 72-hole event. Berlin will start his final round on the 10th hole at 9:10 a.m. Playing once again on the Speidel Jones Course, Berlin will be playing alongside Trine's Carlos Coeto and Washington and Lee's Pierce Robinson.
