LANCASTER, Pa. -- Franklin & Marshall's Luke Keating repeated as Offensive Player of the Year and Gettysburg's Andrew Horn earned Defensive Player of the Year to highlight the 2021 All-Centennial Men's Lacrosse Team. Muhlenberg's Wyatt Malia and Jake Plunket received Rookie and Coach of the Year honors, respectively, to round out the major award winners.
Keating becomes just the fourth player in conference history to earn multiple Player of the Year nods in a career. The senior attacker led the CC in points (53) and assists (33) and ranked fourth in goals (20) throughout the regular season. Keating's 33 assists were more than double the second-highest total in the CC, and his 53 points were 17 points ahead of second place this spring. He helped lead the Diplomats to a 6-0 conference and 7-0 overall regular season, the CC title, and the conference's automatic bid to the upcoming NCAA Tournament. The honor marks the fourth straight season that an F&M player received Offensive Player of the Year accolades. Keating is one of just two players on this year's All-CC squad to earn their third career spot on the all-star team.
Horn was tabbed Defensive Player of the Year for the Bullets after compiling 18 ground balls, causing seven turnovers and helping the Bullets to a 9.62 goals against average this spring. The senior is a two-time first team All-CC selection, also having earned the honor in 2019. He is the second Gettysburg player to win Defensive Player of the Year in the seven-year history of the award, and the 14th Bullet to earn Player of the Year honors of any kind in CC history.
Malia was named Rookie of the Year following an impressive and well-rounded freshman campaign that included 10 goals, six assists, and 11 ground balls from his midfield position. He is the second straight Mule to win the honor. Plunket was selected by his peers as Coach of the Year after guiding the Mules to a 4-2 conference mark and second-place finish in the CC regular season. It is the first COTY honor for Plunket, who just completed his sixth year at the helm in Allentown.
In addition to Keating and Horn, five other players were repeat All-CC honorees. Muhlenberg attacker Ethan Grossman earned the third all-conference award of his career, securing first team honors this spring after being named honorable mention in both 2018 and 2019. Ursinus attacker Hakan Atillasoy and F&M midfielder A.J. Rigsby and face-off specialist Jack Beatty collected first team laurels after being named honorable mention in 2019. Muhlenberg defender Matt Hager repeated as a second team pick this spring.
Historically, Gettysburg leads the conference with 97 first-team selections, while Washington College is second with 61 selections. Franklin & Marshall (53) is third, while Dickinson (39), Haverford (21), McDaniel (21), Ursinus (19), Muhlenberg (8) and Swarthmore (5) follow.
