Playoff Appearances (10): 2007-08-09-11-12-13-14-15-16-17

Key Returnees: Kevin Gilbert, Jr, F, 13-5-31, 2nd team All-CC; Ward Van de Water, Sr, F, 2-6-10; Colin Fagan, Soph, M, 4-4-12; Will Brock, Soph, B; Brendan McGovern, Jr, M, 7-2-16; Frederick Meagher, Jr, GK, 1.40 GAA, 74.6 save pct.

Preseason Poll Projection: T-3rd
Outlook: The Red Devils have become a perennial Conference playoff team and look to extend their streak to eight straight seasons this fall. Gilbert exploded on the scene with 13 goals on his way to All-Centennial honors in 2017. He teams with experienced Van de Water up front, while McGovern and Fagan combined for 11-6-28 in the midfield. Brock is the headliner on the backline in front of Meagher. Dickinson has been to the Conference final in each of the last four odd-numbered years (2011-13-15-17). The Devils look to "even" the score in 2018.

Christopher Amoruso, Franklin & Marshall

Franklin & Marshall (11-6-2 last season, 7-1-1 CC, d. Dickinson in CC final, 1-0; lost to Drew in NCAA 1st round, 3-2)

Team Page | Roster | Schedule | Statistics | Season Preview
All-Time Record: 602-486-106 since 1926
Centennial Titles (2): 2013-17
Playoff Appearances (11): 2002-06-07-10-11-12-13-14-15-16-17

Key Returnees: Ryan Fincher, Sr, M, 0-8-8, HM All-CC; Ryan Corr, Jr, B, 4-1-9, HM All-CC; J.T. Mogan, Soph, M, 2-0-4; Jim Connolly, Sr, F, 1-9-11; Cole Niggeman, Sr, M, 1-0-2; Ugo Okolie, Jr, F, 3-9-15 (2016 stats); Robert Maze, Jr, M, 9-1-19 (2016 stats); Christopher Amoruso, Jr, GK, 0.67 GAA, 86.8 save pct.

Preseason Poll Projection: 2nd
Outlook: The Diplomats captured their second Centennial title last fall and look to become the third team to repeat as Conference champions. The offense will receive a boost with the return of Okolie and Maze who combined for 12 goals and 10 assists in 2016, while Connolly handed out nine assists last fall. Fincher, Niggeman and Mogan are experienced midfielders, while Corr is a veteran presence along the backline. Amoruso returns between the pipes. Franklin & Marshall has reached the Centennial final in each of the last two seasons and have the pieces to keep the trophy in Lancaster.

Ezekiel Omosanya, Gettysburg

Gettysburg (13-5 last season, 7-2 CC, lost to Franklin & Marshall in CC semifinal, 1-0)
Head Coach: Mark Mettrick (Hartwick '88), 5th season at Gettysburg, 25th overall
Team Page | Roster | Schedule | Statistics | Season Preview
All-Time Record: 569-515-107 since 1930
Centennial Titles (3): 1993-99-2001
Playoff Appearances (9): 2001-02-03-05-06-07-08-10-17

Key Returnees: Ezekiel Omosanya, Jr, B, 2-0-4, 1st team All-CC; Sam Lerman, Soph, F, 3-5-11, 2nd team All-CC; Jimmy Evangelos, Jr, M, 0-1-1, HM All-CC; Raff Mazzone, Jr, M, 1-2-4; Precious Ozoh, Jr, M, 2-2-6; Bobby Weikert, Jr, B; Thomas Keane, Jr, GK, 1.00 GAA, 74.3 save pct.
Key Losses: Patrick Santini, F, 20-4-44, 1st team All-CC, CC Player of Year, 1st team All-America; Lucas Weissman, M, HM All-CC; David Murphy, B; Max Karen, GK, 0.86 GAA, 75.0 save pct.
Preseason Poll Projection: T-3rd
Outlook: The Bullets qualified for the Conference playoffs last season for the first time since 2010. Now, Gettysburg looks to return to the top of the Centennial mountain for the first time since 2001. Omosanya is one of the top backs in the region and anchors the Bullet backline along with Weikert in front of Keane. Evangelos leads an experienced midfield with Mazzone and Ozoh. Lerman was an All-CC forward as a soph and looks for bigger things this fall. Replacing Santini will not be easy, but if Gettysburg can find offense from its newcomers, the Orange and Blue will be a title contender.

Nick Jannelli, Haverford

Haverford (10-5-3 last season, 5-3-1 CC, lost to Dickinson in CC 1st round, 5-0)
Head Coach: Zach Ward (Lynchburg '11), 1st season
Team Page | Roster | Schedule | Statistics | Season Preview
All-Time Record: 816-597-150 since 1901
Centennial Titles (3): 2012-15-16
Playoff Appearances (7): 2011-12-13-14-15-16-17

Key Returnees: Nick Jannelli, Jr, F, 13-4-30, 1st team All-CC; Ben Clark, Sr, D, 1-0-2, 2nd team All-CC; Michael Carr, Sr, M, 1-2-4; Nicholas Montgomery, Sr, D, 2-2-6; Peter Baroff, Jr, F, 2-1-5; Jeremy Astesano, Sr, GK, 1.25 GAA, 77.1 save pct; Reiss Berger, Sr, D; Nick John, Sr, D; Will Klein, Soph, D.
Key Losses: Ben Field, F, 3-1-7, 2nd team All-CC; Dorian Wirz, M, HM All-CC; Russell Nicholson, M, 1-0-2.
Preseason Poll Projection: 5th
Outlook: A new era dawns on the Main Line as Ward begins year one with the Fords. He welcomes back one of the top scorers in the region in Jannelli who has 21 goals in two seasons, while Carr heads up the midfield. Clark is the anchor of the defense, while Montgomery, Berger and John give the Fords the most experienced backline in the CC. Astesano is a veteran presence in goal. Haverford has qualified for the CC playoffs in each of the last seven seasons and that streak should continue in 2018.

Achim Younker, Johns Hopkins

Johns Hopkins (16-1-4 last season, 7-0-2 CC, tied Dickinson in CC semifinal, 2-2; tied Tufts in NCAA Sweet 16, 0-0)
Head Coach: Craig Appleby (Charlotte '94), 11th season
Team Page | Roster | Schedule | Statistics | Season Preview
All-Time Record: 672-397-109 since 1935
Centennial Titles (8): 1996-98-2000-02-04-06-07-09
Playoff Appearances (17): 2001-02-03-04-05-06-07-08-09-10-11-12-13-14-15-16-17

Key Losses: Bryan See, Grad, GK, 0.24 GAA, 91.7 save pct, 1st team All-CC, 3rd team All-America; Drew Collins, M, 1st team All-CC; Mike Swiercz, B, 5-1-11, 1st team All-CC; Jonah Muniz, B, 1-8-10, HM All-CC.
Preseason Poll Projection: 1st
Outlook: The Blue Jays lost just once in 21 matches a year ago, but two penalty-kick decisions kept Hopkins from its title dreams. This fall, Hop is poised to bring the Centennial trophy back to Baltimore for the first time since 2009. Younker blossomed into one of the region's top scorers last season, tallying 17 goals on his way to All-America honors. Maclean and Moore, the CC Rookie of the Year, earned All-Centennial recognition as freshmen and combined with Moylan in the midfield for 10-11-31. Jacobs and Rosenberger are All-CC defenders in front of a new keeper. Hopkins is the preseason favorite to win the Centennial title. How the Jays handle expectations will go a long way in determining their success.

Jacob Wells, McDaniel

McDaniel (10-7-2 last season, 2-6-1 CC, 9th place)
Head Coach: Steve Corrieri (Wolverhamption University '00), 6th season
Team Page | Roster | Schedule | Statistics | Season Preview
All-Time Record: 503-597-114 since 1924
Centennial Titles (0)
Playoff Appearances (4): 2001-03-04-05

Key Returnees: Nick Bowman, Soph, F, 4-3-11; Jacob Wells, Soph, F, 4-2-10; Cam Gebhart, Soph, M, 0-2-2; Randy Hilleary, Jr, M, 6-0-12; Pat Palin, Jr, F, 0-2-2; Drake Pew, Soph, M, 2-1-5; Pablo Bendana, Sr, D, 0-1-1; Brooks Benassi, Soph, D; Sophus Schanche, Soph, D.
Key Losses: Nick Over, GK, 1.06 GAA, 78.5 save pct, HM All-CC; Raul Escobar, M, 7-1-15.
Preseason Poll Projection: 9th
Outlook: The Green Terror posted its first winning overall season since 2005 a year ago and with the return of all but two starters hopes to do the same with its Conference campaign in 2018. Bowman and Wells combined for 8-5-21 as freshmen and look for bigger things this fall. Hilleary was second on the team with six goals from the midfield, while Gebhart and Pew look to capitalize on experience gained a first-years. Bendana is the veteran on the backline and will be joined by Benassi and Schanche in front of a new keeper. McDaniel may not contend for a Conference title in 2018 but will cause headaches for playoff contenders.

Kevin irving, Muhlenberg

Muhlenberg (6-8-3, 2-5-2 CC, 8th place)
Head Coach: Sean Topping (Muhlenberg '98), 16th season
Team Page | Roster | Schedule | Statistics | Season Preview
All-Time Record: 610-416-95 since 1943
Centennial Titles (6): 1994-95-97-2003-05-14
Playoff Appearances (12): 2001-02-03-04-05-06-07-08-09-10-11-14

Key Returnees: Kevin Irving, Sr, M, 5-1-11, 1st team All-CC; Brian Heckman, Sr, B, 0-1-1, 2nd team All-CC; Jordan Schreer, Sr, GK, 1.22 GAA, 78.4 save pct, 2nd team All-CC; Matt Athanas-Linden, Jr, F, 6-0-12; Pete Luther, Jr, M, 0-1-1; Cameron Miller, Soph, B, 2-2-6; Shaun Bartholomew, Sr, F, 2-3-7; Zach Cimring, Jr, B, 2-0-4; Ted Kawoczka, Jr, B, 0-1-1.
Key Losses: Anthony Carracino, M, 1-5-7.
Preseason Poll Projection: T-6th
Outlook: The Mules have missed out on the Conference postseason the past three years but return a nucleus that has playoffs on their mind in 2018. Athanas-Linden is one of the top returning goal-scorers in the CC and teams with Bartholomew up front. Irving is one of the top midfielders in the region, while Luther was the team's leading scorer (7-3-17) in 2016. Heckman is the anchor of a veteran backline along with Miller, Cimring and Kawoczka, while Schreer earned All-CC honors in goal. Muhlenberg is positioned to make a return to the Centennial playoffs this fall.

Woojin Shin, Swarthmore

Swarthmore (4-10-3 last season, 2-4-3 CC, 7th place)
Head Coach: Eric Wagner (Connecticut College '88), 17th season

All-Time Record: 615-519-116 since 1916
Centennial Titles (2): 2008-10
Playoff Appearances (9): 2004-05-06-08-09-10-12-13-15

Key Returnees: Omri Gal, Sr, M, 1-2-4; Woojin Shin, Soph, M, 3-0-6; Felix Laniyan, Jr, D, 1-2-4; Trevor Homstead, Jr, D; Conor Gill, Soph, F, 2-0-4; Yuheng Wang, Sr, F, 1-1-3; Jason Meuth, Soph, D, 0-1-1; Joey Bradley, Jr, M; Oliver Steinglass, Jr, GK, 1.50 GAA, 69.0 save pct.
Key Losses: Ryan Ward, M, 1-0-2, HM All-CC; Michael Nafziger, M, 1-1-3.
Preseason Poll Projection: T-6th
Outlook: The Garnet's youth was exposed a year ago as it finished below .500 for the third straight season. The experience gained in 2017 may pay big dividends this fall. Shin was the leading goal scorer for a squad that found the net just 15 times in 17 matches. Gill and Wang are counted on for more offense, as is Bradley. Laniyan and Homstead are experienced backliners in front of Steinglass. Swarthmore may not be ready for a playoff spot in 2018 but will not be an easy out.

Justin Molyneaux, Ursinus

Ursinus (2-13-1 last season, 0-9 CC, 10th place)
Head Coach: Keith Cappo (Catholic '04), 3rd season
Team Page | Roster | Schedule | Statistics | Season Preview

Centennial Titles (0)
Playoff Appearances (0)

Key Returnees: Alexis Ayala, Soph, F, 1-2-4; Jacob Helwig, Soph, M, 0-1-1; Justin Molyneaux, Sr, M; D.J. Briggs, Soph, B, 1-0-2; Colin Klingman, Jr, M, 1-2-4; Derek Rudy, Sr, D, 2-0-4; John Romero, Sr, M, 0-1-1; Ben Amaral, Sr, F/M, 1-0-2; Brandon Lillian, Sr, GK, 2.90 GAA, 63.2 save pct.
Key Losses: none
Preseason Poll Projection: 10th
Outlook: The Bears went winless in the Conference a year ago and only scored 11 goals in 16 overall matches. It's easy to see where improvement needs to occur for more success this fall. Ayala and Amaral are the main threats up front, while Rudy was the team's leading scorer from the backline. Molyneaux leads the midfield along with Romero, Klingman and Helwig. Briggs started 14 matches as a rookie and provides experience in front of Lillian. Ursinus has nowhere to go but up and looks to make strides in 2018.

Josh Samuels, Washington College

Washington College (6-10-1 last season, 3-6 CC, 6th place)
Head Coach: Roy Dunshee (South Carolina '83), 7th season

Key Losses: Kyle Gaeffke, M, 2-3-7.
Preseason Poll Projection: 8th
Outlook: The young Shoremen could not get back to the Conference playoffs a year ago but hope that the experience gained will go a long way to determining its success in 2018. Graham and Adams are the top forwards, while Keller and Barclay team with Strine in the midfield. Savoth shared the team goal-scoring lead last fall and pairs with Garin to provide solid defense in front of Samuels. Washington College will be heard from come playoff time.
