Axel Whamond, Fr., M/F, Johns Hopkins

Whamond had a hand in four of Hopkins' seven goals in a 2-0-0 week. He scored a pair of goals, including the game-winner, in Hopkins' 5-2 win over Washington & Lee on Saturday. The next afternoon, Whamond assisted on the game-winning goal and then added an insurance goal early in the second half of Hopkins' 2-0 win over sixth-ranked Montclair State.
Defensive Player of the Week
Julito Quintana, Jr., D, Johns Hopkins

Quintana anchored the Hopkins' defense to a 2-0-0 weekend and the Blue Jay Invitational championship. On Saturday, the Blue Jays held the Generals to just 12 shots in a 5-2 win. The next afternoon, Quintana led a defensive effort that held Montclair State to just 10 shots and zero goals in a 2-0 JHU win. Entering the weekend, Montclair State ranked fourth in the nation in goals per game (7.33) and sixth in shots per game (29.00).
