HAVERFORD, Pa. –- Gettysburg sophomore Connor O'Donnell scored the game-winning goal in the 80th minute to lifts fifth-seeded Gettysburg past fourth-seeded and defending-champion Haverford 1-0 in the Centennial Conference Men's Soccer First Round Wednesday afternoon at Walton Field.
The win sends the Bullets to the semifinal round, where they will take on host and top-seeded Franklin & Marshall on Saturday at noon. This marks the Bullets second semifinal appearance in the last three seasons and ninth time overall in the history of the tournament.
Second-seeded Johns Hopkins will face third-seeded Dickinson in the other semifinal at 3 p.m. in Lancaster, Pa.
