COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – Keith Cappo, who spent the last six years as head coach of the Ursinus College men's soccer team, has stepped down to take on a pair of opportunities at The Haverford School. Cappo will become the Director of the Soccer Program at the Haverford school while teaching in the mathematics department.

Cappo compiled an 21-53-8 overall record in six seasons as the head coach of the Bears men's soccer team. He resurrected the success of the program in 2021 by recording a 10-6-1 overall record and a single-season program record five wins in Centennial Conference action, narrowly missing a berth in the Conference Tournament by one point. Ursinus knocked off a pair of nationally ranked teams along the way in No. 5 Johns Hopkins plus eventual Centennial Conference and then No. 24-ranked Washington College. The 10 wins were the most in a single season for the Bears since the 1995 season when they went 10-8 overall. His efforts earned him Centennial Conference Coach of the Year honors and he saw three players earn All-Centennial honors.

"Coach Cappo has been a constant positive presence in our Coaches' Row hallway for years," said Ursinus Athletic Director Erin Stroble. "He led the men's soccer program with tremendous integrity and passion in addition to working diligently to offer his student-athletes a wonderful UC experience. He will be greatly missed, and we wish him nothing but the best as he ventures into his new position at The Haverford School."
