Men’s Field Athlete of the Week - February 20, 2017

Matt Fischetti, Jr, Johns Hopkins
Groton, Mass./Phillips Academy Andover

Fischetti captured the high jump title at the Keogh Invitational with a leap of 1.80 m. Fischetti's mark is just 0.06 m off of his career best. The junior also vaulted 3.80 m to finish sixth in the pole vault. Fischetti finished fourth with a jump of 5.60 m.

Men’s Field Athlete of the Week - February 13, 2017

Matthew Su, Fr, Johns Hopkins
Jericho, N.Y.

Su improved upon his school record in the long jump, finishing sixth at the BU David Hemery Valentine Invitational with a leap of 7.04 m. The freshman is the first Blue Jay to break 7.0 m. Su's jump leads the Centennial Conference and ranks 18th in the country. Su is also tied for sixth in the conference in the 200 meter dash after recording a time of 22.99 Saturday.


Men’s Field Athlete of the Week - February 6, 2017

Mitchell Keller, Sr, Johns Hopkins
Breinigsville, Pa./Parkland

Keller threw a season best 13.93 m in the shot put to finish second at the Frank Colden Invitational. His throw was just 0.12 off from his career record of 14.05 m.

Men’s Field Athlete of the Week - January 30, 2017

Andrew Bartnett, Sr, Johns Hopkins
St. Louis, Mo./John Burroughs School

Andrew Bartnett finished second in the Heptathlon at the George Mason Patriot Games, posting a Centennial Conference record with 5,141 points. Bartnett?s Heptathlon leads all Division III athletes this season. Bartnett earned a 883 point boost with a 4.91 m pole vault. The senior also added 816 points with a second place finish in the 1,000 meters with a time of 2:45.27.


Field Athlete of the Week - January 23, 2017

Andrew Bartnett, Sr, Johns Hopkins
St. Louis, Mo./John Burroughs School

 Bartnett brought home the lone event win for Hopkins at the Terrapin Invitational, recording a height of 5.15m in the pole vault. Bartnett's height of 5.15m is the second best among DIII athletes this season. The senior also competed in the 300m dash, 60m hurdles and shot put Saturday.


Field Athlete of the Week - January 16, 2017

Logan Lewis, Junior, F&M
Sidney, Neb./Sidney

Logan Lewis claimed first in the shot put with a toss of 48'-11.75" and also placed third in the weight throw at 48'-5.25" at the Coach I Open on Saturday.

 

Field Athlete of the Week - December 5, 2016

Andrew Bartnett, Sr, Johns Hopkins
St. Louis, Mo./John Burroughs School

Bartnett dominated the field in the pole vault with a height of 4.90 m, 0.80 m higher than the second place finisher. The senior also finished third in the 60 m hurdles with a time of 9.0 HT and sixth in the long jump with a distance of 6.22 m.
