WESTMINSTER, Md. – McDaniel head men's and women's indoor and outdoor track and field coach Ozzie Brown has announced that he is stepping down and will join the track and field staff at Division I Bucknell University.

Brown, who began his tenure as McDaniel's head coach in 2019, oversaw the Green Terror program for a COVID-shortened two seasons. In that time, he guided the teams to seven medals at two Centennial Conference championship meets and saw his students set five program records.

"I have enjoyed my time on the Hill. It has afforded me the opportunity to further my career at Bucknell University," Brown said. "I hope my short three years had a positive impact on the XC/TF program, my colleagues, and the athletics program as a whole as I feel I have grown greatly. I'd like to thank the coaching staff, especially Doug Renner for being so flexible and helping the program grow in the direction it has. And a special shout out to the XC/TF program for having me as part of their lives. The Green Terror Family will always hold a place dear to my heart and I will forever cherish my experience here."

With Brown's departure, Doug Renner will take over as head coach. Renner served as the head coach for 28 seasons prior to Brown's arrival when he assumed the role of head cross country and assistant track and field coach.

McDaniel returns to the track at the Mini-Dip Invitational at Franklin & Marshall on Friday, Jan. 28.
