LANCASTER, Pa. -- Johns Hopkins' Ella Baran once again headlines the Centennial Conference weekly awards after another record-setting and historic performance on the track over the weekend. With one CC championship (men's golf) now in the books, the championship push continues this week with the final week of the regular season and the women's golf championship set for this weekend.
In addition to Baran, award winners for Apr. 18-24 feature Trevor Virno of Muhlenberg baseball, Zach Camp of Swarthmore baseball, Olivia Moser of Gettysburg softball, Meg Ozawa of Swarthmore softball, A.J. Rigsby of Franklin & Marshall men's lacrosse, Chris Brandau of Dickinson men's lacrosse, Kealey Allison of McDaniel women's lacrosse, Caroline Sullivan of Gettysburg women's lacrosse, George Jiang and Abbey Russano of Haverford tennis, Nick Razze of McDaniel men's track & field, Matthew Su of Johns Hopkins men's track & field, and Baran and Annie Gutierrez of Johns Hopkins women's track & field.

Baseball
Player of the Week
Trevor Virno, Sr., OF, Muhlenberg
East Patchogue, N.Y. | Bellport
Virno hit .632 with six runs scored and five RBIs in a 3-2 week for the Mules. He had six hits and three RBIs in a doubleheader sweep of Johns Hopkins, giving Muhlenberg a 2-0 run lead with a two-run single in the first inning of the first game. Virno reached base in seven of his first eight plate appearances in the twinbill, driving in a run with a groundout the only time he was retired. Virno also went 3-for-3 and scored both Mule runs in a 7-2 loss at DeSales. For the week, he posted a .632/.682/.737 slash line and registered at least one hit in all five contests.
Baseball
Pitcher of the Week
Zach Camp, Sr., RHP, Swarthmore
Smyrna, Ga. | The Walker School
Camp earned a win and save in two relief appearances last week, helping the Garnet remain tied atop the conference standings. In seven innings on the mound, Camp stuck out 14 batters with just one walk. The senior righthander opened the week with a six-strikeout performance in a three-inning save vs. Ursinus, before tossing four dominant innings with eight strikeouts and just one hit allowed to secure the win at McDaniel. Camp has completely turned his season around in his last four outings, allowing just one earned run with 32 strikeouts in his last 18 innings.
Softball
Player of the Week
Olivia Moser, Jr., 3B, Gettysburg
Robbinsville, N.J. | Robbinsville
Moser hit .688 (11-for-16) with nine runs, seven RBIs, and six walks in a 4-2 week for the Bullets in conference play. She tallied three hits in three different games, including going 3-for-3 in both ends of a doubleheader sweep of Washington College. She scored four runs in the opening game against the Shorewomen before hitting a home run and driving in four in the nightcap. For the week, Moser compiled an on-base percentage of .773 and an OPS of 1.836. She was also perfect fielding at the hot corner with no errors in 23 chances.
Softball
Pitcher of the Week
Meg Ozawa, Jr., LHP, Swarthmore
Scarsdale, N.Y. | Scarsdale
Ozawa went 2-0 last week in two complete-game shutout outings as the Garnet extended their lead atop the Centennial standings. The junior allowed five hits, no runs and struck out nine in 12 innings pitched throughout the week. Against Ursinus, the lefty recorded her 100th career strikeout, and fanned four in the shutout victory. In a seven-inning shutout over McDaniel, Ozawa allowed only two hits while striking out five to earn her conference-leading 13th win in the circle. For the week, Ozawa struck out 5.25 batters per seven innings and did not allow a run to cross the plate. Ozawa currently leads the Centennial in ERA (1.13) and ranks second in strikeouts (82).

Offensive Player of the Week
A.J. Rigsby, Sr., M, Franklin & Marshall
Dublin, Ohio | Bishop Watterson
Rigsby racked up nine points with four goals and five assists on Senior Day as F&M beat Washington College by a 16-8 score to remain alive in the race for the Centennial Conference playoffs. He also led the team with five ground balls. Rigsby set new career highs in points and assists while posting the fourth-highest scoring performance of his career.

Defensive Player of the Week
Chris Brandau, Jr., GK, Dickinson
Timonium, Md. | Boys' Latin
Brandau continued his roll this past week as he kept the eighth-ranked Devils undefeated with wins over 17th-ranked Gettysburg and St. Mary's (Md.) He had a big second-half against the Bullets, making six of his 10 stops and recording three ground balls as DC earned the 15-9 win. On Sunday against St. Mary's, he made 13 saves on the day, including three in the third quarter that allowed Dickinson to build an 8-6 halftime lead into a 16-8 advantage through 45 minutes. For the week, Brandau also tracked down six ground balls and forced four turnovers.

Offensive Player of the Week
Kealey Allison, Sr., A/M, McDaniel
Frankford, Del. | Indian River
Allison led the Green Terror to a 2-0 week with 10 goals and two assists. She also had nine draw controls, seven ground balls, and five caused turnovers. She netted four goals in the 18-16 win at Dickinson on Wednesday before tallying six goals and two assists in a 20-17 win over Ursinus on Saturday.

Defensive Player of the Week
Caroline Sullivan, So., M, Gettysburg

Sullivan did a lot of everything as Gettysburg remained perfect in Centennial play with two wins, totaling five goals, nine ground balls, three draw controls, and six caused turnovers. In a 13-7 win over No. 2 Franklin & Marshall, the sophomore midfielder tossed in a pair of goals while helping the defense hold the Diplomats to a season-low goal total with a pair of caused turnovers. Sullivan ended the week with a career best eight ground balls, four caused turnovers, and three goals in an 18-7 win over Muhlenberg.

Player of the Week
George Jiang, Sr., Haverford
Tucson, Ariz. | Catalina Foothills
Jiang, the Atlantic South's No. 22 singles player, had a huge week for the Fords, beating a pair of regionally-ranked opponents in singles and teaming up with Stefan Johnson for a doubles win against a regionally-ranked doubles pairing. Jiang helped lead Haverford to triumphs over Washington College and No. 40 Christopher Newport as the Fords extended their winning streak to five matches. Against Washington College, Jiang and Johnson opened the match with an 8-7 (14-12) victory over the 11th-ranked doubles pairing in the region at the No. 1 position. In singles play, Jiang upended Karl Hoegstedt 7-6 (7-4), 0-6, 1-0 (10-7), the No. 8 singles player in the region, at the top singles spot. Against Christopher Newport, Jiang posted a 7-5, 6-1 triumph over Ryan Macy, who is ranked No. 9 in the region.

Abbey Russano, So., Haverford

Russano was perfect in singles action and went 1-1 in doubles in two matches last week for the Fords. In an 8-1 Centennial win over Ursinus, Russano posted a 6-1, 6-2 victory over the Bears' Allie Armour at No. 1 singles and teamed with Ellie Esterowitz for an 8-0 win at No. 1 doubles. In a tough 5-4 defeat to TCNJ, Russano collected a 6-1, 6-2 win at the top singles flight.

Track Athlete of the Week
Nick Razze, Jr., McDaniel
Pitman, N.J. | Pitman
Razze led the Green Terror at the Hopkins/Loyola Invitational with a victory in the 400 hurdles, posting a time of 53.09 seconds. The mark is second in program history and third in CC history. He bettered his previous personal best by nearly a full second and currently ranks sixth on the Division III national list this season.

Jericho, N.Y. | Jericho
Su posted a 7.40-meter long jump at the Hopkins/Loyola Invitational to shoot into the top-10 nationally. Su's jump of 7.40 meters is currently good for ninth at the DIII level.

Ella Baran, Sr., Johns Hopkins

Baran continued her record-breaking campaign with the second-fastest time in the 5,000 meters in Division III history on Friday night at the Virginia Challenge. Baran became just the second DIII women's runner to break 16 minutes in the 5,000, joining the legendary Miss Buttry. Competing in a fully DI field in the event, Baran finished third with a time of 15:49.09, putting her within striking distance of Buttry's longtime record. Baran shattered her own school and Centennial Conference record in the event by more than 40 seconds. Baran is presently atop the 2022 Division III Performance List in the 5K by 37 seconds.

Field Athlete of the Week
Annie Gutierrez, Gr., Johns Hopkins
Coral Gables, Fla. | Ransom Everglades
Gutierrez moved into the top-20 nationally in both the pole vault and the long jump this weekend at the Hopkins/Loyola Invitational. A 2021 All-American in the pole vault, Gutierrez won the event with a 3.76m vault, her second-best career outdoor mark. That places her in a tie for 11th nationally. Gutierrez also matched her outdoor PR in the long jump with a 5.66m mark to tie her for 16th nationally.
