Emma Souter batted .600 with nine hits in 15 at-bats for the Fords during a 3-0-1 week as they swept rival Swarthmore and shutout Gettysburg before game two was halted due to darkness. Souter had at least two hits during each of the Fords' four games while scoring seven runs and driving in three more. She posted an .867 slugging percentage with four doubles.

McTamney was lights out in three starts for the Bears, tossing 18.2 scoreless innings in a trio of Ursinus wins. The rookie threw back-to-back shutouts against No. 11 Moravian and at Washington College, surrendering just 10 hits and striking out five in those two starts.
