Anna-Sophia Capizzi, Haverford, Player of the Year

LANCASTER, Pa. -- Haverford's Anna-Sophia Capizzi was honored as the Player of the Year to headline the 2020 All-Centennial Women's Basketball Team. Ursinus' Aliyah Stephens, Swarthmore's Dana Bandurick and Haverford's Bobbi Morgan received the other top awards.

Capizzi, who led the Fords to their second-straight Centennial crown this past weekend, becomes the first player in Haverford history to earn the conference's top honor as Player of the Year. The senior guard led the CC in scoring (19.5 PPG) and three-pointers (2.9 3PTM) while ranking fifth in FG% (46.1).

Morgan was selected by her peers as Coach of the Year for the third time and first time since the 2013-14 season. She led Haverford to its second CC championship in a row and becomes the first coach in conference history to receive the award three times since it began in 2008-09.

Bandurick earned Rookie of the Year accolades after a stellar freshman campaign for the Garnet. She is the first Swarthmore player to receive the award in its eight-year history. Bandurick was also selected as a second team All-Centennial performer, making her one of just 11 players in CC history to secure first or second team honors as a freshman.

Stephens was named Defensive Player of the Year, becoming the first Bear to collect the award since its inception in 2017-18.

Ursinus senior Lydia Konstanzer was a repeat first-team selection and concludes her career as a four-time All-Centennial performer. She earned Rookie of the Year and second team honors in 2017 and honorable mention in 2018 before producing back-to-back first-team awards in her final two seasons.

Johns Hopkins leads the conference with 24 first-team All-Centennial honorees since 1994, followed by Muhlenberg (23). Gettysburg (19) is third, while Swarthmore (15), Franklin & Marshall (13), McDaniel (13), Dickinson (10), Ursinus (9), Haverford (7) and Washington College (2) round out the list.
