Women’s Golf Athlete of the Week 9/25/18

Bertacche, in her second round of her senior season, posted a 79 (+7) at the Bridgewater Fall Invitational over the weekend, good enough to tie for sixth out of 71 golfers. She is off to a get start to the year, as she finished second in the first tournament of the season.

Women’s Golf Athlete of the Week 9/18/18

Gillian Marini, Sr, Gettysburg
Moorestown, N.J. / Moorestown

Marini was Gettysburg's top finisher in a pair of events last week. She finished third overall with an 89 in a tri-match hosted by the Bullets before grabbing medalist honors with a 90 in another tri against F&M and McDaniel. It was the senior's first career title.

Bertacche, the reigning Centennial Conference women's golf champion, opened up her senior slate with a second-place finish at the McDaniel Fall Invitational on Saturday, coming up just two-strokes shy of winning the individual title for the 18-hole event. The Italy native carded an 82 (+10) on a rain-filled day at the Bridges Golf Club. As a squad, the Saints took second out of the seven teams in attendance, falling not far behind the tournament champion Stevenson.
