For the first time in 412 days, the Centennial Conference will host a championship event as the 2021 CC Women's Golf Championship tees off this Saturday at Conestoga Country Club in Lancaster, Pa. The 36-hole event will begin with noon tee times on both Saturday and Sunday.

This will mark the third conseuctive championship held at Conestoga CC and the first women's golf championship since 2019. The 2020 championship was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Gettysburg has captured the last nine Centennial women's golf titles, but the Bullets' streak will come to a close this weekend as they are one of four squads without the minimum number of golfers to qualify for a team score. Conference-newcomer Cabrini, Dickinson, Marymount and Ursinus will vie for the team crown, while Franklin & Marshall, McDaniel and Muhlenberg will join Gettysburg as teams with individuals competing at the event.

This weekend's championship will feature a first-time team champion, as all 19 Centennial titles have been won by either Gettysburg (10 total), McDaniel (7), and Muhlenberg (2).

The 2021 season has consisted of a limited schedule for Centennial teams, with each squad competing just two or three times entering the championship.

Marymount, which finished as the runners-up in 2019, boasts the lowest scoring average among the field with a stellar 319.0 strokes per round in three events. Isabel Trojillo, the reigning CC Athlete of the Week, has the lowest individual average at 81.3. Trojillo's round of 79 at the Shenandoah Invitational is the low round of the spring among all Centennial golfers, and earned her second place in the 28-player event. The Saints' junior was the 2019 Rookie of the Year after finishing tied for ninth. Hunter Gillis (84.0), Janlynn Ngo (92.0) and Peyton Kraras (95.3) also hold impressive averages through three rounds this spring for Marymount, while Gina Carvelli carded a 92 in her lone time on the course.

Cabrini will be competing in its first-ever Centennial championship after joining the conference as an affiliate member prior to the 2019-20 season. The Cavaliers have posted a team average of 427.5 in three events this spring and are led by Vic Monterosso's 93.2 scoring average. Kelly Cahill, Abi Fricke, Marisa Linsky, and Caitlin Bullock round out the Cabrini roster as the Cavaliers look to make a run at the team title.

Ursinus has compiled a 448.0 team average in three events, headlined by Jessica Lamarca. Lamarca owns a 93.0 average that includes a first-place finish at the McDaniel Spring Invitational in late March. Addisen Miller, Carolyn DeCicco, Rebecca Chernoff, and Bailey Hann round out the Bears' roster.

Dickinson has yet to post a team score this spring in its three events, but will compete for the team crown this weekend. The Red Devils will have four players tee off, led by Olivia Brown, the 2018 CC Rookie of the Year and sixth-place finisher in 2019. Brown's lone round this spring was an 86 at the Dickinson Invitational.  Rachael Czerna (98.33) boasts a sub-100 average in her three events while Mia Henry and Natalie Kurzawa have each competed once this spring for the Red Devils.

Gettysburg (3 players), McDaniel (3), F&M (2) and Muhlenberg (2) will not be eligible for the team title but will have individuals compete. F&M's Holly Rittmaster (90.33) owns the third-lowest scoring average in the field that includes medalist honors at the Dickinson Invitational, while teammate Jamila Gowdy enters with a 98.0 average in her three events for the Diplomats.

Muhlenberg's Emma Mueller (92.9) claimed the individual crown at the Gettysburg Invitational and will be joined by Katie Chen representing the Mules. McDaniel's Zoey Nichols (93.5) leads the way for the Green Terror through two rounds this spring along with teammates Kathleen Pensabene and Daniela Babich

Gettyburg's trio includes Cameron D'Amica, Claire Nagel and Lindsay Waller, with D'Amica posting a 95.0 average through the Bullets' two events.

This weekend's team champion will earn the Centennial Conference's automatic bid to the NCAA Championships, set for May 11-14 at Forest Akers Golf Course in Lansing, Mich.
