CHESTERTOWN, Md. - Washington College Director of Athletics Thad Moore has been informed that head women's lacrosse coach Kate Fowler will be leaving the program.

"We can't thank Kate enough for leading our women's lacrosse team these last five years," expressed Moore. "Family always comes first and while the Shorewomen are her extended family, her immediate family comes first."

Fowler took over as the head coach for the Shorewomen before the 2019 season. During the five seasons Fowler was in charge, the Shorewomen compiled a 37-30 record with a 21-12 conference record. Washington qualified for the Centennial Tournament all three times it was held while Fowler led the program. In total, Fowler coached 16 different All-Conference players, seven different All-Region selections and one All-American.

"She will be greatly missed, but we wish her the best of luck as in all her future endeavors," said Moore.
