Cunningham led the 22nd-ranked W&L wrestling team to three wins on December 17 in the W&L Duals by posting a 3-0 individual record. In a 31-9 win over Greensboro, he notched a 5-1 decision over Tony Locke. He then added a pair of wins by fall, pinning Dominic Pecoraro of Trine in 1:05 during a 27-20 team victory. He also pinned Copper Hemming (1:14) in a 37-14 win over Muskingum. For the season, Cunningham is a perfect 16-0.
