KANSAS CITY, MO – Swarthmore senior forward Marin McCoy and Johns Hopkins junior midfielder Maggie Coulson have been named to the United Soccer Coaches All-America Team. McCoy received first-team honors, while Coulson was named to the second team. 

McCoy capped off her illustrious career at Swarthmore with All-America honors for the third time. In addition to this year's first-team award, she had previously been named to the second team in 2015 and 2017. The 2017 Centennial Conference Player of the Year, McCoy led the conference with 35 points on 14 goals and seven assists. Nine of her goals were game-winners. She registered a goal in both Centennial Conference Tournament games and was named the tournament's MVP. In the NCAA Tournament, McCoy dealt a pair of assists against St. Joseph's (Maine) and had a pair of goals against Virginia Wesleyan. The Garnet, ranked as high as 12th in the nation, finished 2018 with a 17-3-2 overall record, the Centennial Championship, and a pair of wins in the NCAA Tournament.

After four years with Swarthmore, McCoy graduates as the most accomplished player in program history. She is far and away the program leader in points with 149, goals (57) and assists (35).

In 2015 McCoy and teammate Caroline Khanna '17 became the first All-Americans in program history.

Coulson was named a Second Team All-American. This is the 11th straight year the Blue Jays have been represented on the All-American team as Hopkins has produced 15 United Soccer Coaches (formerly NSCAA) All-Americans.
 
Coulson set career highs in goals (9), assists (4) and points (22) this season as she finished third on the team in points and second in assists. She started all 21 games for the Blue Jays as Hopkins finished the season with an 18-3 record. The junior captain was also named First Team All-Centennial and First Team All-Region this season.
