Tate & Wytkind, Players of the Week, 10/22/19

Centennial Conference Women's Soccer Players of the Week

Oct. 14-20

Offensive Player of the Week
Meg Tate, Fr., F/M, Dickinson
Carlisle, Pa. | Carlisle
Tate earns Offensive Player of the Week for the second straight week after netting five goals and adding an assist in a 2-0 week for the Red Devils. The freshman scored just 12 seconds into the contest at Bryn Mawr, breaking the Centennial Conference record with the fifth-fastest goal in NCAA history. She recorded a hat trick against Penn State Harrisburg and tallied two goals and a pair of assists vs. Bryn Mawr to keep the Red Devils unbeaten in conference play this fall. She found the net on 5-of-9 shots, scoring both game-winning goals.

Defensive Player of the Week
Lindsay Wytkind, Sr., D, Haverford
Bethesda, Md. | Walt Whitman
Wytkind repeats as Defensive Player of the Week following two more Haverford shutouts last week. During the scoreless draw against Washington College, Wytkind cleared a ball off the end line for a team save during the second half to preserve Haverford's point. She spearheaded a defense that held the Shorewomen to just six total shots and one on goal. In a first-place showdown with McDaniel, Wytkind and the defense held the Green Terror scoreless for just the third time this season. She also set up the game-winning goal with her first assist since 2016.
