Centennial Conference Women's Soccer Players of the Week
Sept. 9-15
Offensive Player of the Week
Maddy Rocks, Sr., F, Johns Hopkins
Pittsburgh, Pa. | Upper St. Clair
Rocks tallied two goals and an assist - including both game-winners - in the Blue Jays' road victories over a pair of NCAA Tournament teams from last season. Rocks opened the week with an assist and a 71st-minute game-winning goal in a 2-1 win at No. 7 TCNJ, leading Johns Hopkins to its first road win against a top-10 opponent since 2013. She followed up that performance with the game-winning tally in the 52nd minute of a 2-0 triumph at Rowan.
Defensive Player of the Week
Emily Thissen, Jr., D, Haverford
Minneapolis, Minn. | St. Paul Academy and Summit School
Junior co-captain and centerback Emily Thissen was part of a Haverford defense which allowed just seven shots in total during a pair of shutout victories against Eastern and Widener last week. The Fords' goalies needed to make just three saves in the 4-0 win over Eastern while not a single shot reached goal during the 3-0 win against previously undefeated Widener.
