CHATTANOOGA, TN – Johns Hopkins women's tennis senior Anjie Kashyap wrapped up her career on Friday at the 2021 NCAA Singles Championship. She advanced to the round of 16 before falling to the number six seed.
Kashyap opened the championship in impressive fashion as she beat St. Thomas' Nicole Snezhko without losing a game. The win earned her All-America honors – the first of her career. In addition, she is the first Blue Jay to win an NCAA Singles Championship match since Ashnaa Rao in 2017.
Kashyap then faced sixth-seeded Tilly Rigby in the second round and fell 6-4, 6-3. She finishes her career with 37 singles wins, tying her for 19th in school history. In addition, she ranks 17th with 79 total career wins (37 singles, 42 doubles).
