• The Short Story: The 26th-ranked Johns Hopkins women's tennis team saw its season come to an end in a 5-2 loss to 13th-ranked Williams Saturday afternoon in the second round of the NCAA Tournament. 
 
How it Happened
• Williams jumped out to a 2-1 after doubles and pushed its lead to 4-1 before going on to win 5-2 and advance to the regional final. 
• Yuu Ishikawa and Erica Erkstrand took the first point of the match with an 8-1 win over Christina Huyhn and Aya Igaki-Meader at first doubles. Anaya Aggarwal and Katherine Orgielewicz then beat Celina Liu and Jessica Liang 8-3 at third doubles. 
• Ishikawa then pushed the Ephs' lead to 3-1 with a 6-0, 6-1 win over Igaki-Meader at second singles. Erkstrand followed with a 6-3, 6-2 defeat of Anjali Devireddy at first and Williams led 4-1. 
• Huynh kept Hopkins in the match when she defeated Tian 7-5, 6-0 at fourth singles. Orgielewicz ended the match for the Ephs when she won 6-4, 6-3 over Bader at third. 
 
What it Means
• Johns Hopkins falls to 0-7 against Williams, including 0-4 in the NCAA Tournament. 
• The Blue Jays the end their season at 13-7 and having made their 15th consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance. 
• The 13 wins for head coach Dan Pollock are tied for the second most by a first-year head coach in program history.
