Winston-Salem, N.C. -- Johns Hopkins' Ella Baran made it back-to-back days with a national champion for the Blue Jays by winning the mile to highlight Centennial Conference performances on day two of the NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships at the JDL Fast Track.

A day after JHU's Victoria Kadiri became the first-ever woman in CC history to win an indoor national title, Baran repeated the feat by edging out Trine's Evie Miller by less than half a second to claim her first career national title. Baran placed second in two events at the 2021 NCAA Outdoor Championships and earned All-America honors at Cross Country Championships. On Saturday, Baran broke through, running the mile in 4:47.97 to become a national champion. Baran caps off a truly remarkable 2022 campaign, breaking multiple school records and running the fastest mile in women's DIII history earlier this season.

Baran's day wasn't over just yet, as she competed in the 3000 and earned another All-American award to add to her mantle. Baran placed sixth in the 3000, crossing the finish line in 9:47.40. JHU's Sara Stephenson also secured All-America accolades in the 3000, finishing eighth in 9:51.97.

Ursinus' Rachel Conhoff just missed out on All-America honnors in the mile with a ninth-place finish in 5:01.15.

In the team standings, Hopkins placed fourth with 33 points. Loras (59), Wisconisn-LaCrosse (44), Ithaca (40), JHU (33) and Wash U. (25) made up this year's top-five finishers.
