Women’s Track Athlete of the Week 4/30/18

Felicia Koerner, Jr., Johns Hopkins
Munich, Germany / Bavarian International School

Koerner finished with a time of 16:54.75 in the 5,000m Run at the Penn Relays, which is now the 16th fastest time in the country and ranks tops in the conference.

Women’s Track Athlete of the Week 4/23/18

Lauren Jacob, So., Johns Hopkins
Los Altos, Calif. / Los Altos

Lauren Jacob won the steeplechase at the Widener with a time of 10:48.92 which set a new school record in the event and cut 35 seconds off her previous best time. Her time is also currently the fourth-fastest time in the country and is the top time in the conference this season.

Women’s Track Athlete of the Week 4/16/18

Ellie Clawson, Jr., Johns Hopkins
Bellevue, Wash. / Issaquah

Ellie Clawson finished fourth in the 10,000-meter run at the Bucknell Bison Classic with a time of 35:12.93 which is the fastest time in the conference and ranks fourth in the nation. It also set a new personal best time for the junior.

Simsbury, Conn. / Simsbury

The senior won the 3,000-meter steeplechase at the Hopkins Invitational with a new personal-best time of 11:16.08 which is also the sixth fastest time in program history. 

 

 

Women’s Track Athlete of the Week 4/2/18

Emily Stahl, Jr., Johns Hopkins
Findlay, Ohio / Findlay

Emily Stahl had a very successful opening weekend of the outdoor season at the Fred Hardy Invitational. The junior finished second in the non-Division I portion in the 5,000-meter run with a time of 17:55.39 and earned a first-place finish in the non-Division I 3,000-meter race with a time of 10:26.68. Both times set new personal best times for the Findlay, OH native. 

 

 

Women's Track Athlete of the Week 3/26/18

Natalie Suess, So., Dickinson
New Egypt, N.J. / New Egypt

Suess scored well in a busy afternoon, leading the Red Devils to the Little Three Championship. She posted individual wins in the 200 and 400 meter events with times of 26.80 and 1:01.59. She added a win with the 4x400 relay and placed second in the high jump (1.50m) and third in the triple jump (10.29m).
