LANCASTER, Pa. -- Johns Hopkins' Ella Baran, Victoria Kadiri and Bobby Van Allen swept the major awards to lead the 2021 All-Centennial Women's Outdoor Track & Field team.
Baran was named Outstanding Track Performer of the championship after setting a new championship-meet record in the 1500 meters with a time of 4:26.10 and also anchored the winning 4x800 relay for the Blue Jays. Baran is the fourth straight and eighth overall Blue Jay to secure Outstanding Track Performer accolades at the outdoor meet.
Kadiri collected Outstanding Field Performer and Outstanding Rookie honors. The JHU standout freshman posted the time mark in Division III in the long jump (5.81m) and also captured gold in the high jump at the CC championship. Kadiri showed her versatility with a second-place mark in the 100-meter dash and fifth-place finish in the shot put, scoring 32 individual points to help Hopkins to the team title. She is the fourth Blue Jay to claim Outstanding Field Performer and second Blue Jay to win Outstanding Rookie since the award was instituted in 2013.
Van Allen was tabbed by his peers as Coach of the Year for the fourth time after guiding JHU to its 11th consecutive outdoor crown.
