Aston & Troy Repeat as Top Award Winners on AVCA All-Region Team; Nine from CC Honored

Complete AVCA All-Region Teams

Johns Hopkins' Natalie Aston and Matt Troy repeated as top award winners to highlight Centennial Conference honorees on the 2021 American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Region 5 team. 

Aston was named regional Player of the Year, Troy was honored as Coach of the Year, both for the second consecutive season after also claiming the honor in 2019. 

The CC grabbed six if the 14 spots on the all-region first team, with Aston being joined by teammates Eleni Panogopolous and Sydney Portale along with Gettysburg's Zanze Kuba-McCoy, Dickinson's Emma Lange, and Haverford's Juliet Young. Aston earned all-region accolades for the third time in her career, while Panogopolous and Portale received the second all-region nods of their careers. 

JHU's Lauren Anthony, Franklin & Marshall's Allison Franke and Haverford's Dina Kosyagin were named to the honorable mention squad.
