Following a dominant week of play, junior Kaylee Zhang has been named the Gamechanger/American Volleyball Coaches Association DIII National Player of the Week, as announced Tuesday Oct. 25th. Zhang was named the Centennial Conference Offensive Player of the Week earlier today.

Zhang annihilated any and all competition that stood in her way, carrying the Garnet to a 3-0 record on the week, topping Ursinus College, Dickinson College and Susquehanna University. The California native averaged 4.80 kills on the week, hitting .452. Her career game came against Dickinson, putting up a personal best 24 kills and 22 digs in the Garnet's 3-1 comeback win over the Red Devils.

Speaking on the honor, Head Coach Harleigh Chwastyk and Associate Head Coach Linda Zhang stated, "We are so thrilled for Kaylee to be recognized as the AVCA National Player of the Week. Now everyone can see what we see every day in our gym. Her passion for the game and steadfast ability to anchor not only our defense, but also our offense has been such a joy to watch this year."

Zhang is the first ever Garnet player to earn national player of the week honors.
