Race Highlights
• The Blue Jays got off to a quick start on the gun as they quickly packed together and began to pull away from the rest of the field. Ellie Clawson pulled out in front of the pack as the senior captain went onto win her second straight championship race with a time of 21:17.9.
• The rest of the Blue Jays stayed close together as the top-seven JHU runners all finished within 25 seconds of each other. Caelyn Reilly stayed in front with Clawson as she finished the race with a time of 21.31.9, which is a new personal best time for the junior. Tasha Freed made her return to the course and performed well on the wet course as she finished third with a time of 21:33.4.
• JHU not only took the top-seven spots, but Hopkins placed all 12 of its runners in the top-20 and had nine out of the top-ten finishers in the race as Ariel Keklak and Emily Stahl finished ninth and 10th, respectively.
• Johns Hopkins has now won 11 titles, which is the most in conference history. The nine individual champions also breaks a tie with Dickinson.
• Clawson is the sixth runner to win the race/runner of the year in back-to-back seasons.
